The inspired word of God
I firmly believe the bible as the inspired word of God, There is one God in this universe and he has the power to speak and create. Much of the old testament books given to Moses were practical rules for survival as a civilized people.
On the Genesis Stories if you believe as I do that the bible is the inspired word of our All powerful God, you believe these stories as truth, however there is nothing to preclude that these events may have occurred on a different planet, and these stories were implanted by God to explain the origins of life. I believe that creation happened as described but perhaps on another physical planet.
