My opinions on the current presidential contest

Ok, I am an opinionated judgmental bastard. So here is my take on the current presidential race.

Barrack Obama- Intelligent Articulate person.  Very like able and an all around “nice guy”   Pretty much an American success story.  Coming from a regular background he has worked hard to get an education.  Because he is not from a privileged background only his drive and desire to succeed brought him to this point. Because of his personal experience with his mother and her cancer fight he will be sympathetic to the need for health care reform.  However he does not have the experience or management qualifications to make him the best choice to run the government which is basically a huge business and needs to be operated as if it was a business.  If he were to surround himself with good people who have the experience he lacks he might do well. Due to political pressures many presidents have not chosen their advisers wisely. Bill Clinton seemed to have a lot of cronies that were less than honest.

Hillary Clinton - An obnoxious, dangerous  over achiever and carpetbagger.  Once she  moved out of the white house she quickly purchased a home in New York. Not because she wanted to live in New York, but because she saw the chance to run for a senate seat she felt she could win.  Not because she wanted to represent the people of her adopted home state, but because she wanted to run for president.  Hmmmm for the last couple of years she has not spent much time representing her constituency she has been busy campaigning for president. If i lived in her area i would be really pissed off that she is not there to represent me which is the job she was elected to perform.  The Rodham’s  come from a wealthy background and considering all the money that they have brought in from questionable investors and Bill’s middle east earnings there is no way they could understand the people who are worried about paying next month’s rent or buying a new pair of tennis shoes at wal mart. There is just no way for them to relate.  The Clinton’s had 8 years as president and since Hillary was promising universal health care since the first Clinton presidency there is absolutely no  reason to believe that she would deliver it if given a third term as president.  No, Hillary is just an opportunistic self centered person who wants to be in control again to further their family’s finances.  They are dangerous people. Poor Vince Foster, they had to kill him and set it up like a really bad suicide story that would never pass even the most junior CSI investigation.  People just don’t shoot themselves using their non dominant hand and manage to keep hold of the  gun, and then not bleed all over the place where the body was found. Vince was moved and moved to a place where the Clinton s were able to control the investigation. The park police were not in a position to perform a thorough forensic investigation and just rubber stamped what the administration wanted them to say.  Hillary Clinton is a very dangerous person who doesn’t let reason or ethics get in the way of hat she wants.

John McCain - He is a proven experienced and wise natural leader.  His refusal to be released from the POW prison in Viet Nam ahead of those who were captured before him shows a real ethical and moral person concerned more with fairness than personal desires and comfort.  He is a man everyone can respect in his personal and public life. He has the experience in both American government and Foreign affairs that would make him a great president. While Bill Clinton was avoiding the draft and going to college in England, John McCain was defending our country against the communist aggressors in Viet Nam. Mr McCain is really a battle tested leader and someone who is perfectly suited to leading our country with ethics and morals that are so very lacking in the Clinton family.

Mitt Romney - although he is no longer running he was the one with the leadership experience to run a government wisely. He had the successful qualities of leading large profitable businesses and political entities.  As a governor he did an excellent job, as a businessman he was very successful.  I knew his father, who as the governor of Michigan erased a large deficit and left office there with a surplus in the bank. The morals and ethics of the Romney family are impeccable. However they are great businessmen but lousy politicians. They don’t have the ability to speak like a politician should speak instead they are open and honest in all their speeches and dealings.  I would love to see Mr Romney as the vice presidential choice for John McCain.  Those two combined  would provide us with a  real quality administration.

just my ramblings  as an old judgmental bastard

My real favorite would be Ron Paul, he has a lot of good ideas to get our country back to what the founding fathers intended.  unfortunately he does not have a chance of being elected.
